Group photo : My cats are three sets of "twins" (littermates). Beauty and Queenie are the oldest at age 8. Loki and Venus are next; they are 5. Onyx and Amber, my "babies", are 4. I adopted all of them through Animal Advocates or Tails of Hope Rescue both located in Howard County, Maryland.

Beauty : Beauty is a spayed female. She and her sister Queenie were born on February 10, 2000. Their mother Athena had been abandoned around December 1999, then was found by someone and turned in to the Howard County Animal Shelter. Because Athena was pregnant, she was fostered at the home of Margaret Gitelman, a volunteer with Animal Advocates of Howard County. I adopted Beauty and Queenie on April 7, at the age of 8 weeks. Margaret adopted Athena. The other two kittens in the litter went to other loving homes.

Queenie : Queenie is a spayed female. She and her sister Beauty were born on February 10, 2000. Loki : Loki is a neutered male. He and his sister Venus were born on January 25, 2003. They were born inside an abandoned car. When the kittens were a week old, the car was towed away, and nobody noticed the kittens until the tow truck reached its destination. The mother cat was not with the kittens; evidently she had been out hunting. Attempts were made to find the mother, but with no success. The kittens were taken to the Howard County Animal Shelter, but they would have no chance of survival there. So they were given to Tails of Hope Rescue and were fostered at the home of Margaret Gitelman. I adopted Loki and Venus on March 22, at the age of 8 weeks. The other two kittens in the litter went to another loving home.

Onyx : Onyx is a neutered male. He and his sister Amber were born on February 29, 2004. They were brought to the Howard County Animal Shelter on March 8 as orphans. I don't know where they were found or what happened to the mother. The kittens would have no chance of survival at the shelter, so they were given to Tails of Hope Rescue and were fostered at the home of Maureen Walsh-McGrath. I adopted Onyx and Amber on April 23, at the age of 8 weeks. The other two kittens in the litter went to other loving homes.
